Kevin Dunn (born August 24, 1956) is an American actor who has appeared in supporting roles in a number of films since the 1980s. His roles include Colonel Hicks in the 1998 version of Godzilla, Sam Witwicky's father, Ron in Transformers, and Oscar Galvin, the primary antagonist in the 2010 action thriller Unstoppable.
Personal life
Dunn was born in Chicago, the son of Margaret (née East), a nurse, and John Dunn, a musician and poet.[1][2] His sister is actress/comedienne Nora Dunn. He was raised in a Catholic family, and has Irish ancestry.[3] Dunn graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1977, and received an honorary doctorate in 2008 from the same school.
